Boy's jubilee of the boss of Luhačovice Spa

Dear Doctor, how do you feel about this anniversary in the fullness of life?

I'm not exactly the birthday type, I don't notice the biological clock, but it's certainly a time for reflection. Life doesn't begin, it certainly doesn't end either, it just goes on. Maybe it's a good time for some recapitulation, it is.

Well, if recapitulation, then certainly a look back at the work in Luhačovice Spa a.s. It's going by pretty fast, how long have you been at the head of the company?

It's already the tenth year. I say that cheerfully, the tremendous founder of the local spa, Dr. Vesely, was in charge for nine years, so I skipped him. But please take that as a time comparison. You see, the spa here in Luhačovice is made by people. The town of Luhačovice and the spa are actually one. I've had the opportunity to compare over the years. I think that this is the place with the best atmosphere in terms of the spa. The people make it. And it is very good that we have Czechs and Slovaks here. By the way, if you walk through the spa on a Sunday, and there is, for example, a Hat Day, then you get a unique atmosphere of the First Republic. But you also have the feeling that people come here to enjoy themselves.

Friends and colleagues have prepared a great present for your anniversary, your "alasocha" right next to the statue of dr.

They did it, they made me very happy, it's funny and perhaps even slightly apt. My colleagues and I are really trying to glorify this beautiful place.

Can one have a work goal on an anniversary like this?

Sure, my goal is to humanize myself for my colleagues and together put a better and better face on the spa.

I think that humanization is a long term thing in your case, please don't take it any other way than what is said, but the whole great collective really likes you. By the way, what is in store for you and your people in the near future, purely work-wise?

There is a lot, which of course pleases me very much. If I had to choose, I would mention the restoration of the River and Sun Baths Water Treatment Pavilion. One of the flagship works of Dušan Jurkovič, the renowned architect of our spas. It will be a very challenging task, but we are very happy to accept this challenge.

Let's go elsewhere, you played with success at the 7th annual tennis tournament of Spa Luhačovice a.s. You are known as a very good sportsman. Which branch plays the primary role in your case?

Tennis is an old love, but the biggest one now is undoubtedly cycling. When my grandson was born, I gave him and myself a present. I rode a bike race around Lake Geneva in Switzerland in decent time. The course is both beautiful and challenging, in a beautiful setting, and was almost 200 kilometres long. The bicycle is my friend very often, I like to run as well.

And about tennis, what gift did the friends of the yellow balls and Dr. Blaha give you?

There were more, I was delighted with a large tennis ball signed by the participants and also a card in verse recited by Marie Retkova, a well-known TV and radio lady.
