Luhačovice wants to protect its historical centre

The town of Luhačovice is planning a building closure in the area of the historic core. The measure is intended to temporarily protect architecturally valuable sites from unregulated construction until the new zoning plan comes into force. The building closure is to apply to the spa colonnade or Jurkovič Avenue towards the Luhačovice dam. In other locations, on the other hand, the city is ready to support new construction.

Luhačovice is the second best town to live in

The Zlín Region succeeded in the evaluation of the Prosperity Index of Regions of Česká spořitelna and the Europe in Data platform, ranking 2nd overall in a competition of 14 regions, just behind Prague! The spa town of Luhačovice even has the second highest standard of living among all 206 municipalities with extended jurisdiction evaluated. Zlín and Uherský Brod ranked 7th and 8th respectively.

In 2024, Korunka helped the needy with nearly five million crowns

The Korunka Helps charity project of two charitable associations Korunka Luhačovice and Korunka Velké Losiny has had an extremely successful year. For the whole year 2024, both charities redistributed financial or material aid for a total of CZK 4,682,935. The main part of the aid went to the areas that were affected by the devastating floods in September.
