Fašank in the local part of Kladná Žilín

From the frosty morning turned out beautiful sunny weather, and so the carnival parade went first in the direction of Paseky, then the masks went through the whole village from Dolina through Kopec, Výpusta to Drahy. This year's carnival was exceptional mainly because the firemen joined the Girls in Action, so the group grew to an admirable number of 20 people, including 4 musicians from nearby Rudice, played by two accordionists, one trumpet player and one drummer, who accompanied us throughout the day and created a wonderful carnival atmosphere with their songs. A procession of masks with music went through the village announcing the arrival of Lent. We tried to cheer up our fellow citizens, have fun with them and also gave them a pen and a small gingerbread house for good luck. In return, they treated us with various goodies, whether it was doughnuts, God's grace, sandwiches or a shot of good slivovitz.

Thank you to all those who looked out for us from afar, opened up and came out in front of our house, for the treats and financial support, and of course to everyone involved. We hope that next year we will meet in the same or even greater numbers.

It is important to keep such traditions where people come together and have fun together. This was also appreciated by some passing drivers who spared no words of praise and appreciated that we still observe the carnivals, which made us very happy.
