Millions will go for sidewalks, warning system and other infrastructure, many projects to be prepared

"CZK 2 million are allocated in the budget for repairs of pavements and other roads alone. The individual locations are yet to be specified, because we are synchronizing the reconstruction with the replacement of utilities in the town, mainly it will be a matter of making arrangements with the gas suppliers," said Deputy Mayor Jiří Šůstek.

It is already clear that the funds will be invested in the preparation of the repair of Hrazanská Street or the preparation of the construction of the ZTV in the Ludkovická locality. In addition, the reconstruction and creation of some parking lots is also planned.

"Project documentation for about 180 thousand will be prepared for modifications of the parking lot near the spa garages, where parking spaces for cars will be created instead of the original unused space for buses. For about 160 thousand we will complete project documentation for the planned reconstruction of a large parking lot at Alfa market. A new parking lot for about 32 cars is planned in Družstevní Street on the site of the former weighbridge, which will be removed. We have earmarked CZK 73 000 for the project documentation of this action.

The installation of new warning system detectors and digital flood plans of the city and the entire municipality with extended jurisdiction will be implemented in local districts already this year. "A total of approximately CZK 4 million will be spent on this action. A grant of up to 2.8 million, which we were able to obtain from the Operational Programme Environment, will help us in the financing," Šůstek said.

The replacement of the footbridge behind Alfa Market will be completed after a long effort. The original one had to be closed in 2017 due to poor technical condition, then a temporary borrowed bridge was placed nearby and replaced by a new footbridge in late 2018. However, it is only now settling permanently into the site of the original bridge. After complex preparations, everything is ready for the relocation of the gas pipes and power lines that the old bridge carried, which will now be placed on the new footbridge. The completion of the project will require approximately 900 thousand CZK.

A new vehicle for municipal waste collection will be purchased within the budget of TS Luhačovice, the total amount spent will be about CZK 5 million. Half of it will be paid this year.
