Parking with a parking disc improves conditions for short-term parking

Part of the parking space in front of the local information centre is also planned to be reserved for temporary parking in the near future using a parking disc. The city management has decided to proceed with this solution because it allows the public parking area to be used by a larger number of citizens and visitors during the day. This avoids long-term blocking of parking spaces by a single vehicle in areas where people need to park for a short period of time. This regulation of parking in the spa town centre will make it easier for everyone to get the short-term parking they need to run errands at the office, visit the information centre, or when taking loved ones to the train or bus. A half hour is all it takes to do all this.

The "Parking with parking disc" traffic sign (No. IP 13b) indicates a parking lot where the driver is entitled to park for free, but must visibly place a disc (parking clock) behind the windshield of the vehicle at the start of the parking and set the start time on it, which must not be changed until departure. The additional plate then indicates the period of time for which free parking is allowed, e.g. "MAX. 30 min.". It is commonly used in all district and county towns. For this reason, officers recommend having a parking disc in your vehicle. This is a plastic or paper device that can be purchased for as little as twenty to thirty crowns. It simply marks the time of arrival. As a temporary measure, it is also sufficient to leave a visible paper with the time handwritten on it (e.g. "Arrival 08:00"). The officers of the Luhačovice Municipal Police sometimes encounter drivers violating this standard traffic sign, so they use this possibility and finally, as a precaution, they warn that those who do not respect the traffic sign "Parking with parking disc" commit an offence and can be fined up to two thousand crowns in an on-the-spot order.
