Svatava Urbancová, Havířov, on a trip with her family

It is certainly nice that a person without a veil can go to a restaurant, everything is accessible, normal life has started again. In the heat, the veils were uncomfortable. So hopefully it won't come back.

František Priessnitz, Ostrava, on a spa stay

It's great! It's finally gone, wearing it on my ears all the time was not pleasant. It's fine in shops and restaurants.

Veronika Krajči, originally local, visiting family and grandchild

It made my life a lot more pleasant that the obligation was lifted, because I was quite annoyed about breathing into the veil. I'm glad we can now go to the shop without a balaclava, for example. If I go to the doctor or have a cold, though, I'll gladly put the veil back on. You have to think about others.

Radek Máčala, waiter at Elektra restaurant in Luhačovice

It is a great relief. You could stay in that veil for an hour or two at a time, then you had to breathe a lot. When the warm weather came, it was very unbearable.

Petra Hinds, Ostrava, on a stay

I am glad that I can breathe freely, in the heat it was quite unbearable. It was also hard for the children. The good thing is that you can eat in restaurants quite normally now, but also other activities have taken off, it's not a problem to go to the sauna.

Marin Slatinský, Chomýž, with family on a stay

It's better now, you don't have to sweat in it anymore and stuff. I like it a lot that you can go to the swimming pool without any restrictions.

Věra Mořinglová, Luhačovice

Going without a veil is a big relief, especially that we don't have to wear it to all the shops.

Luhačovice wants to protect its historical centre

The town of Luhačovice is planning a building closure in the area of the historic core. The measure is intended to temporarily protect architecturally valuable sites from unregulated construction until the new zoning plan comes into force. The building closure is to apply to the spa colonnade or Jurkovič Avenue towards the Luhačovice dam. In other locations, on the other hand, the city is ready to support new construction.
