The reconstruction of the bus station and the necessary repairs of the gas pipeline in Hrazanská Street are underway

In the first week of May, construction works related to the complete reconstruction of the bus station in Luhačovice started. At the same time, the reconstruction of the gas pipeline in Hrazanská Street started on 18 May 2020.

In the area of the bus station, pedestrian passage is possible along marked routes. The original bus stops are inaccessible, with all buses stopping at alternative stops behind the train station building (on part of the existing car and bus parking area). Detour routes are marked for car traffic through the surrounding streets. From Ludkovice, the detour route is via Pozlovice.

"The traffic restrictions have been further complicated since 18 May by the start of the reconstruction of the gas pipeline in Hrazanská Street, which requires gradual road closures. According to the gas engineers, the gas pipeline in this street is at the edge of its service life and urgently requires reconstruction, even at the cost of simultaneous reconstruction of the bus station and related traffic restrictions," said deputy mayor Jiří Šůstek.

The reconstruction of the gas pipeline is proposed in six successive stages, starting at the top of Hrazanská Street at the intersection with Slunná Street and will proceed downwards. The project "Terminal Luhačovice" is co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund under the Integrated Regional Operational Programme.

We ask all citizens and visitors to the town to be patient and respect the restrictions at the construction site and on the detour routes. Thank you!

The town of Luhačovice is planning a building closure in the area of the historic core. The measure is intended to temporarily protect architecturally valuable sites from unregulated construction until the new zoning plan comes into force. The building closure is to apply to the spa colonnade or Jurkovič Avenue towards the Luhačovice dam. In other locations, on the other hand, the city is ready to support new construction.
