The repair of the road between the local part of Řetechov and Ludkovice has started these days. The construction works are being carried out under complete traffic closure, all vehicles other than IZS and construction vehicles have to take a detour route along roads III/49023, II/492, III/4922 and local road through Biskupice, Luhačovice and Pozlovice.

The main objective of the reconstruction is the overall stabilisation of the road body, as the slope under the road has started to give way. The Zlín Region, as the owner of the road, has therefore decided to repair the critical section.
"The total length of the section to be repaired is 145 metres. The stabilisation will be carried out by means of a retaining wall, 138 metres long and approximately 1 metre high. The width of the paved part of the road will be 6 metres," said Pavel Botek, deputy governor of the Zlín Region for transport.
In the 100-metre-long section, a complete road structure will be built, including rehabilitation of the earth plain, while the remaining connected sections of the road will only be rebuilt with a resurfacing layer.
The construction is being carried out by KARETA, s. r. o., Bruntál, and the repairs will cost more than CZK 19 million. The construction is to be completed by the end of November.
