Luhačovice cancels the St. Wenceslas Fair this year
The St.Wenceslas Fair planned for Monday's public holiday will not take place this year. The organizer of the event, Elektra Luhačovice Municipal House of Culture, has decided to cancel the event for precautionary reasons due to the unfavourable development of the pandemic situation in the Czech Republic. We believe that next year the event will take place without restrictions and will attract many satisfied visitors to the centre of Luhačovice as in previous years.

On Tuesday, September 1, Luhačovice schoolchildren will head back to their classes. This year's first-graders are the last ones in Luhačovice, who will have a traditional opening ceremony at the smaller primary school building (former nursery).

The Regional Hygienic Station of the Zlín Region has decided that with effect from Wednesday 19 August, until further notice, a ban on the movement and stay of all persons without respiratory protective equipment (respirator, drape, mouthpiece, scarf, etc.) will be in force in all outpatient and day-care facilities, pharmacies and medical device dispensers in the entire Zlín Region.

The road repair is accompanied by a complete closure
The repair of the road between the local part of Řetechov and Ludkovice has started these days. The construction works are being carried out under complete traffic closure, all vehicles other than IZS and construction vehicles have to take a detour route along roads III/49023, II/492, III/4922 and local road through Biskupice, Luhačovice and Pozlovice.

The road near the local part of Řetechov will be repaired
The Zlín Region is going to repair a part of the road between the local part of Luhačovice and Ludkovice. The investment plan was approved by the Council of the Zlín Region at its meeting on 13 July, along with four other construction projects on class II and III roads owned by the Region.
